Women in Hampton Roads know about Bon Secours’ Girls’ Night Out. These annual events bring women together for free health screenings, seminars presented by top women’s health specialists, and a healthy dose of fun.
Saturday, Oct. 17, the first of 2009’s Girls’ Night Out events takes place at the Health Resource Center on the campus of Mary Immaculate Hospital.
This year’s women’s health presenters for the Peninsula event are Ealena Callender, MD, OB/GYN (Gynecologic Health), and Laura Cordes, MD, OB/GYN (Breast Health). Expect frank talk about topics of interest to women of every age.
Also, Kim Warde and Kristin Thompson of Bon Secours In Motion Physical Therapy will present “Fun-ctional exercises and stretching at home and at work.”

There is one health benefit available at the Girls Night Out event that comes with a cost. If you would like a flu shot – for seasonal flu, not H1N1 (Swine) flu – they will be offered for $20 per person. Medicare patients, this expense is reimbursable.
