Celebrate Your Survival at a Relaxing Retreat

Breast Cancer survivors can look forward to more survivorship retreats thanks to grant funding from Susan G. Komen for the Cure and the tireless efforts of Leslie Smith, Breast Program Coordinator/Certified Breast Patient Navigator and her team.

These multi-day retreats cleverly mix education, such as coping and long-term side effects, with healing approaches such as creative arts, yoga and relaxation.  Discussions range from sensitive topics to humorous stories – all shared in a safe and collaborative environment of kindred spirits.

The retreats, made available by the Komen Foundation and Maryview Medical Center, and are open to breast cancer survivors who have finished their primary treatment and are no more than 2 years post treatment.  We are pleased to continue this one-of-a-kind program here in Hampton Roads and are honored to aid in the emotional, spiritual and physical recovery of women surviving breast cancer.

If you would like more information on the retreats, please contact Leslie Smith at Leslie_Smith@bshsi.org or (757) 541-1902
