Anti-Cancer Superfoods

What you eat can affect your risk of getting cancer. Try these four “anti-cancer superfoods” to improve your health, according to Dr. Oz:

  • Papaya – contains two cancer fighters: lycopene and cartenoid beta-cyrptoxanthin. Eating a papayaa once or more every week can lower your cervical cancer risk, studies show.
  • Shrimp – contain Omega-3 fatty acids, which can battle tumor cells.
  • Cashews – contain proanthocyanidins, which can prevent cancer cells from dividing. Some studies show eating 12 cashews daily can reduce the risk of colon cancer.
  • Beets – contain antioxidant betalain, which starve tumors. Eating a quarter cup of beets daily may reduce risk of kidney cancer.
