Traveling Abroad? Get Your Measles Vaccine

Measles may be rare here in the United States, but in many countries it is still quite common. Highly contagious and rapidly spread, this disease should not be taken lightly.

If you are traveling abroad, the Center for Disease Control (CDC) encourages vaccination. Measles is preventable with MMR (short for: measles, mumps, rubella) vaccine. This inoculation is highly effective and has a long safety record. People of all ages should stay up-to-date with vaccines, especially before traveling abroad.
