Preventing Youth Suicide

Youth Suicide is a devastating epidemic that destroys young lives, shatters families, and leaves a wake of sadness and confusion for those left behind.

Suicide is the third leading cause of death for young people ages 15-24 and the fourth leading cause of death for youngsters between the ages of 10 and 14. By educating others and ourselves, we can make a difference in preventing youth suicide. This event will help participants learn about, the incidence of suicide in our society, including warning signs and risk factors, the correlation of depression and suicide, and strategies to prevent suicide and share community resources.
