Trick for Avoiding Halloween Candy Calories

It’s a fact that two-thirds of America’s adult population is either overweight or obese. For those of us trying to avoid “empty” calories, a bowl full of Halloween candy sitting on the counter in the kitchen can be a little scary.

But it doesn’t have to be.

Fill it with sugarless gum, sugar free candy and small toys that children can appreciate long after Halloween has passed.

If you do decide to buy candy, purchase something you don’t like so you won’t be tempted to eat it. Don’t open the bags of candy until Halloween day. Make sure leftover candy is either given away or tossed.
