Chickenpox Vaccinations Protect Infants

Make sure your children are vaccinated against chickenpox. A new study shows that not only does it protect your child but it protects infants as well, according to a news release from the American Academy of Pediatrics.

The federal study shows that “before doctors began vaccinating children 12 months of age and older against varicella in 1995, infants were four times more likely to die from a varicella infection.”

Check with your family physician to keep your child’s immunizations on schedule.
