Exercise May Improve Sleep

Need an incentive to exercise regularly? A new study shows that people who exercise according to federal guidelines sleep better and feel more energized.

In fact, those who met the federal benchmark of 150 minutes of moderate exercise or 75 minutes of vigorous workouts every week were 65 percent less likely to say they felt sleepy during the day. The study, published in the journal Mental Health and Physical Activity, directly measured how much people exercised rather than relying on how much exercise they claimed.
