Move on, Arthritis!

Federal health officials are encouraging anyone who has arthritis symptoms to exercise, which has been proven to reduce pain and improve symptoms.

Brisk walking, cycling, swimming and group exercise classes are all examples of appropriate low-impact aerobic exercises for people with arthritis, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. To strengthen muscles, try calisthenics, weight training and using resistance bands.

Visit the CDC’s website for more information about exercise and arthritis.
