For many families, their biggest wish is to see someone they love take better care of themselves. Learn how to prevent heart attacks and stroke by becoming responsible for your health. To encourage Americans to make this pledge, a website has been established to send e-cards or post e-cards on Facebook and Twitter.
“Family members worry about loved ones who are at risk for heart disease or stroke,” said Dr. Janet Wright, executive director of the federal Million Hearts Initiative on the website. “When someone pledges to learn how to improve their health and prevent a heart attack or stroke in the coming year, it can have deep meaning to the people who love them. It’s a warm acknowledgement that the gift-givers know what really matters to their loved ones—having them here to enjoy the season for years to come.”
