Birthright of Norfolk recently presented Bon Secours DePaul Medical Center with a plaque in commemoration of Birthright’s 40th anniversary. Birthright President of the Board Karen Joyner says, “DePaul has been such a strong supporter of Birthright throughout our 40 years. We especially want to show our appreciation for the space within their facility DePaul has donated over many years, enabling us to operate on a very tiny budget.”

Birthright is a pro-life emergency pregnancy center that helps pregnant women—or women who think they may be pregnant—consider giving life to their babies. Joyner, who is a volunteer, says, “We help women find the resources they need to keep their babies whenever possible. At a minimum, we ensure they learn about the development of the baby so they can make an informed decision.” Birthright is an international organization of volunteers and staff members are unpaid.
