Women who take fish oil supplements for heart health may also be helping their muscles. A small study found that women in their 60s who took fish oil while strength training had more muscle strength than those who didn’t take the supplement.
The women performed strength training exercises three times a week for three months. All of them showed improvement, but those who took fish had the best results.
