Autism – Seek Help Early

Pediatricians say children who have Autism Spectrum Disorder – called ASD – cope better the earlier behavioral interventions can begin. But a new government report shows that 50 percent of school-aged children who have special health care needs were 5 or older when they were first identified. Symptoms – such as language delays, poor social skills and repetitive behavior patterns – usually appear before a child turns 3.

Seek help from your family physician if you have concerns about your child’s development.
