Research Links Drinking Coffee to Reduced Diabetes Risk

Drinking three to four cups of coffee every day may help prevent type 2 diabetes, according to a new report from the nonprofit Institute for Scientific Information on Coffee.

The report, which considers more than one recent study, highlights recent scientific evidence that links drinking coffee regularly with a 25 percent lower risk of developing type 2 diabetes, according to a news release from the European Science Foundation.

However, researchers noted, the studies do not prove that drinking coffee reduces the risk.
