Bon Secours DePaul Medical Center announces that Lenny Laureta-Bansil, DO, is now associated with Hampton Roads OB/GYN Center, located at 100 Kingsley Lane, Suite 100, Norfolk, VA 23505 and at 885 Kempsville Road, Suite 320, Norfolk, VA 23502. Hampton Roads OB/GYN Center is a vital part of the Bon Secours Virginia Medical Group.
Dr. Bansil completed her bachelor of science at Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Va., and received her medical degree from Virginia College of Osteopathic Medicine in Blacksburg, Va. She completed her obstetrics and gynecology (OB/GYN) residency at State University of New York, Sisters of Charity Hospital, in Buffalo, N.Y.
Certified in the Fundamentals of Laparoscopic Surgery (FLS) and the da Vinci robotic surgical system, Dr. Bansil has participated in several research studies. Additionally, she received the 2012 American Urogynecologic Society (AUGS) Award for Excellence in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery, as well as the 2013 American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists (AAGL) Special Resident in Minimally Invasive Gynecology Award.
Dr. Bansil is a member of the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists, the American College of Osteopathic Obstetricians and Gynecologists, the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, the American Urogynecologic Society and the American Osteopathic Association.
